Samantha B. Perez

  • Samantha B. Perez is passionate about business analysis and has been a practitioner for 10 years.
  • In 2017, she earned both a CBAP and a CSPO to continue growing as an analyst and help others as a leader for the business analysis Center of Excellence at Whataburger Restaurants, LLC.
  • Samantha began her position as a business analyst with Y&L Consulting, an IT consulting company based in San Antonio, on September 11, 2018 to continue gaining experience in agile methodology.
  • In her spare time Samantha enjoys attending concerts and watching films.

Debbie Saldana

  • Debbie Saldana is the quintessential communicator.  Her leadership style promotes positive collaboration among colleagues that, quite frankly, gets the job done.  Debbie is a vice president at Frost Bank, supervising a team of six business analysts in the Loan Operations Division.
  • Debbie’s top five characteristics for creating a collaborative work environment:
1.      Be an active listener
2.      Promote the exchange of ideas
3.      Regard each stake-holder’s role as integral
4.      Celebrate individual successes
5.      Understand the big picture.
  • Along with serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the IIBA San Antonio Chapter, Debbie is also president of her homeowner’s association. She enjoys outings with friends and spending time with her family, including her three grandchildren.

Laura A. York

  • Laura York has been in the IT industry for over 25 years. 
  • Currently, she works as a Senior Business Analyst in the Oil and Gas industry.  Prior to this job, she worked 20 years credit card processing industry. 
  • There are many roles Laura has been in, such as, Senior Business Analyst, Senior Business Information Specialist, Quality Assurance Analyst and Reporting Specialist. 
  • Her experience includes requirement elicitation, communication and collaboration,
  • reverse engineering scripts, code and programs, quality and testing.
  • In her spare time, she continues to update her skills in business analysis and IT development. Laura has a BAAS degree from University of Incarnate Word and
  • is ready to add a Certification in Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) in 2019.

Joseph Llerena

  • Born in Lima-Peru. Lived in the States since age of 20.
  • Computer Science and Civil Engineering Degree. Lived in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.
  • Research Assistant at UT analyzing TxDOT datasets on pavement performance.
  • Land Development Engineer at Pape-Dawson Engineers.
  • Joseph enjoys the beach, traveling, driving and working on his cars. He also enjoys learning about Real Estate.
